The department provides all three disciplines, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech/Language Pathology. These services are available by physician order on an inpatient or outpatient basis. For all referrals, our focus is working with patients to restore functional ability when a loss has occurred. The following is a list of common reasons for referral to our services:
- Stroke or other neurologic insult
- Back or neck pain
- Difficulty with dressing, grooming or daily activities
- Shoulder, hip, or knee problems
- Recovering from orthopedic surgery
- Speech or swallowing difficulties
- Dizziness
- Walking or balance problems
- Hand weakness or coordination problems
- Generalized weakness following prolonged illness
