The French Hospital Laboratory team is made up of highly skilled phlebotomists, clinical laboratory scientists, couriers, managers and secretaries. The laboratory team includes many dedicated employees who have worked at French more than 20 years. With the aid of advanced technology coupled with their skills, this team tests and handle hundreds of specimens each day serving our inpatient, outpatient and Emergency Department population.
In order to provide services to our patient population, French Hospital Medical Center operates four laboratories:
- The French Hospital
Laboratory is located in the Outpatient Registration area to the left of the main hospital lobby. This lab is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No appointment is necessary.
- The San Luis Obispo Lab Service Center located in the Bear Valley Center, 12326 Los Osos Valley Road, San Luis Obispo. This lab is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 - 4:00 pm, (closed between noon and 1pm). No appointment is necessary. The telephone number is (805) 781-0449.
- The Los Osos
Lab Service Center is located at 2122 9th Street, Suite 110, Los Osos. This lab is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:00am - 1:00pm. No appointment is necessary. The telephone number is (805) 528-8977.
- The Morro Bay
Lab Service Center is located at 246 Pacific Street, Morro Bay. This lab is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 1:00pm. No appointment is necessary. The phone number is (805) 772-2784.
