San Luis Obispo County Catholic Healthcare West (CHW) Hospitals, French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) and Arroyo Grande Community Hospital (AGCH) are proud to announce its hospitals have once again been awarded top honors for providing excellent patient care.
FHMC was found to be in the top 15% in the nation for providing superior care in cardiology and orthopedics. These findings were published today (October 20, 2010) by HealthGrades, the leading independent health care ratings organization. Nearly 5,000 hospitals in the United States were included in this sweeping study, which examined mortality rates and complication rates from government data from 2007, 2008 and 2009. FHMC was also recognized this week by the National Research Corporation (NRC) as among the nation’s top hospitals as 2010/2011 Consumer Choice Award winners. The award identifies hospitals which health care consumers have chosen as having the highest quality and image in over 300 markets throughout the U.S. This is the fifteenth year NRC has awarded hospitals whose consumers have recognized them for providing the highest quality healthcare.
