French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) is pleased to announce it recently received the
2008/2009 Consumer Choice Award
in the San Luis Obispo County market area from the National Research Corporation (NRC) for the third consecutive year. The award identifies hospitals which over 200,000 households representing over 400,000 healthcare consumers have chosen as having the highest quality and image.
Of the 3,200 hospitals named by consumers in the study, only 250 healthcare facilities were chosen for the award. Out of those, FHMC is the only hospital in San Luis Obispo County to receive this award. “Consumers continue to be empowered to make decisions for themselves and their families when selecting their healthcare facilities and services,” said Ginny Martin, President of NRC’s Healthcare Market Guide Division. “As care options multiply and consumer perception of quality grows in importance, dedication to providing a high level of quality healthcare becomes essential for hospitals.”
