I was beside myself with fear. Not just of the aggressive form of breast cancer they told me I had, but also of the treatments – surgery, chemo, radiation.
By the time I reached the Hearst Cancer Resource Center, I had lost my hair and most of who I thought I was.
At the Hearst Cancer Resource Center, I found comfort, support, and hope that I could beat this thing. The Center’s director steered me to classes in nutrition, yoga, relaxation, and meditation; all of them free, even wigs and scarves. I had never met more loving people than the ones I met in the support groups I attended.
Today, I am a proud cancer survivor! I volunteer at the Hearst Cancer Resource Center as often as I can.
Stop by for a visit or call, we are here to help.
